Hi, just wanted some advice really. My husband and i both have phones through orange, got our best plan review through and his can go down from £40 to £15 a month. However mine will only be changed from £40 to £30 and i lose my mobile internet which will cost an extra £5 per month. I have an iphone ( which is mine i didnt buy through orange) and he has a samsung galaxy, same deal, its his own.

Is it the case that i am being put on a higher plan (despite my usage being lower than his in all areas) because i own an iphone? and if so can they do this?

Thanks

Carli

Which version of the iPhone? Some of them need a dedicated iPhone plan I believe.

If in doubt, contact a qualified insured legal professional (or my wife... she knows EVERYTHING)

Or send a cheque or postal order payable to Reclaim the Right Ltd.

It's the older ones that used their own internet settings I think, not clued up about the iPhone 4. My missus gets more minutes than me as I added her as a 2nd line on my account, so she gets a "loyalty bonus" (although I'm with Vodafone). I'm not sure if your situation is similar. Try talking to Orange. Have you already signed up for a contract with them? If not, or if within a "cooling off period" I'd look at the alternatives and see if they can match their competitors deals (the retentions departments do seem to be able to knock a lot of cash off in my experience)
