True to form, Natwest {Cobbetts} filed a defence just before judgement by default was granted.

Presumably the request&defence Cobbetts sent out is fairly standard. I've seen a couple of standard replies here, along the lines of supplying the breakdown of charges and a letter stating I am a private individual and will take direction of the court on the date... Is this the best approach?

Cheers

Hi there,

No terms to agree to, only a double copy of the form to withdraw the claim from the court

strangely enough the cheque says

payable to :

into account followed by the amount

This does seem to be a tactic they're using, if it's a problem you could always return the cheque and request that it is made payable to just you and that you wish the payment to be made into another account.
