gosh been reading this site for days now and still keep running into confusion ! could someone un scramble my brain and tell me what i can claim for

 

TARRIFF FEE - NIL

EXCESS OVERDRAFT FEE - £50

OVERDRAFT FEE - £30

DEBIT INTEREST - £8.48

 

????? i have an agreed overdraft of but sometime go over this which triggers the overdraft fee :-(:?:

I have to agree with you on that one.

My understanding was that OD and EOD were claimable as they didnt reflect the true cost to the banks for dealing with these matters.

I do hope i am right as these are the items i have claimed for.

I would agree with joe. I had an agreed overdraft with the bank but went over that limit. At that point they take the £30 overdraft fee and then £25 every few days until you are back inside your limit.

When I asked them to increase my overdraft limit I paid a one-off charge of £30 which was charged totally separately from my account and didn't appear on the charges sheet.

I claimed OD and EOD and the bank didn't dispute it.

Come to think of it, i was charged £20.00 a year as a renbewal fee for my overdaft, so i cant see why the £30.00 OD was charged each time they didint pay an item or i committed any other transgresion that made me overdrawn.

 

I'm sticking to my guns on this one and will wait and see what happens.
