If your going to watch live tv on your PC or laptop you still need a tv licence.

This thread is now three years old but sadly still as relevant!

 

When I moved into my flat in 2011 I told the TV licensing that I only use/used will use my two (now three) MONITORS for playing games or watching DVDs or videos.

 

 

I have not needed a licence AT ALL.

 

 

In fact they told me as like other posters have confirmed that a licence is NOT required for watching any television

PROVIDING IT IS NOT BEING BROADCAST AT THE SAME TIME AS WATCHING.

 

 

I have no access to a digital box or whatever they call them nowadays.
