I'm absolutely gutted! I don't have any unpaid bills for at least 20yrs, however I've been turned by T-Mobile. I've requested Experian reports last night so I'm waiting, Equifax supposed to be instant have not yet given me a report since I've registered last night saying they need to contact me?! I'm a bit flabbergasted to say the least, turned down by a mobile company...for a paltry £600 over 18 months! Help & suggestions would be appreciated, Thanks.

Please give us some more detail, eg how are you arriving at the figure

of £600 ove 18 months??

Credit/service contracts are completely separate.

a service contract may be declined for different reasons.

Have you had any ''service'' contracts with problems,

or have you made multiple applications??

It would cost me £600 in total at the end of the 18 month contract (monthly £30). The advisor has mentioned that she can see multiple credit checks (applications?) although I've applied only once to T-Moblie through an online re-seller. Never had any contract/service problems

This could well be happening if you regularly

use comparison web sites, for phones etc.,

as each qoute generates a search especially

for insurance qoutations and such.

Hi, If you get a copy of your credit files, you

should see items such as ''unrecorded search'' insurance quotation''

as the reason for searching, this happens when you get motor insuranec

quote and ask about paying by installments for example.

These searches should disapear aft a couple of month.

I've got access to Equifax. Table 1 Credit "opt In" type 6 Searches by T-Mobile from 14/11 to 30/11 with 3 of them in one day!Table 2 "Followup Enquiry" 6 Searches as above (3 in one day)! Rating is 510. Payment history FAIR based on one missed payment in June'07.
