My credit card account was bought from BOS by MBNA According to SAR from BOS/HBOS PPI was included for over a year on the account then cancelled I have no knowledge of such insurance being arranged certainly never received any related information or policy. I phoned MBNA at their request only to be told they are not legally responsible for the PPi because it was cancelled before MBNA took over the account. I have estimated paying around £1200 on PPI so it would be worth pursuing at the interest rates they charge me. this account dates from 1997. Does anyone know who is legally liable.

many thanks

This would have been one of the accounts started up by HBoS then squirrelled off to the likes of GE Money, MBNA, Santander etc..

Your claim is against HBOS :) Have a read of the thread in my signature regarding single premium policies.

There is a spread sheet and lots of your questions answered.

Hmmm, now there's a question. Whilst it is a pretty long thread, if you look in the PPI success thread in the PPI forums, you could a) either post a question or trawl though and have a look see for yourself.
