Hello i am a new member, but i was involved with CAG in 2009/10 and my name used on the site was 'FRED' of the car park barrier incident in plymouth, a friend called 'PATMA' used to make all the contact on the site, as i am rubbish on computers. well i am now registered myself as i have no contact with patma anymore. firstly if there is anyone out there who rembers is thread, i just want to extend my thanks to all those who helped and gave advice. i am also sorry that i have not been able to keep you up to date on this saga, but will now try to do that. so please, anyone like 'banker-ryms-with' or anyone else who knew of this saga reply, i am still finding my way around the site so if i dont respond quickly then it means i need help to fing your reply and respond. all the best FRED.

Hello Fred-good to see you back.

Many were disappointed with the sudden halting of updates,and will no doubt look forward to some of the missing details.

Would be a good idea to move your post here to the original thread.

Will see if I can find it and merge.

Not everyone can work their ways around computers or websites-it is something that people will help with though.

There is some basic things that will get you more familiar with navigating and posting though.

There were more twists and turns in this than a rock and roll convention....so a summary is not so easy to post in a few lines.

Hi eveyone who has contributed to this thread, I am Fred!, and Patma, no longer posts for me this thread,however i have sent a private message to Martin to explain that i am inexperienced using this forum and it will take me a while to get up to speed on how to use, and i also have learning difficulites so dont expect spelling or grammer to be perfect. i will try my best. for those people like Martin and others who i got know through Patma, who i know are trustworthy and sincere i will also corrspond in private email.

 

the current state of play:

 

i lost at the trial,

and the first appeal (lower court)

my application to appeal now sits at the court of appeal and is sitting there.

 

the police have retracted the caution and removed my sample details from their system

 

i have made allergations aganist the police and a number of officers and staff.

 

my MP has written to the Cheif Constable and told him i am ENTITLED to an apology

 

i have demand that the IPCC investigate the police.

 

i believe that the unlawful caution was an accessory to the college's (xxxxxx) insurance claim to get a new barrier.

 

my local paper has now picked up the story and is running it this week,

which if Martin sends me an email to confirm its okay to post then i will post it.

i am in the process of getting the story put out in another newspaper.

Glad you've made it back Fred and thanks for the update. From all we have read it would appear that the college, insurers and police have acted terribly in this case and I'm sure I speak for everyone in hoping that things work out the right way in the end.

If the story is getting attention from media and will be published,then we will be happy to follow.

I think it should be said though,that given legal action is still ongoing,that caution is given to posting,as has been the case throughout.

That is to say,sensible debate and refraining from posting anything which may compromise either your case,or the site.

No doubt the newspapers will be observing the same.

Just an update from Fred-he says he is having difficulty navigating past page 47.

I think it would be a good idea to start part 2 from the post where Fred returned.

I will link both for anyone who missed the back ground.
