Please forgive me, i have sent the pre lim letter to HSBC on 11/09/2006, should i not receive a repl within the 14 day limit, alot of you on here go on about an LBA, could you tell me what that stands for or is please:) ??

The LBA is Letter Before Action. This is the letter you send into the banks/credit cards if they fail to respond after the 14days to your prelim letter or if they do respond but tell you to sod off. Its best you send this in as this gives them two chances to pay up. You also do need to include a spreadsheet calculation of all the money you are owed. which can be found in the http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/bank-templates-library/
