If Arrow have told Westcott to return

the matter to them, then there is

I expect some ''problem'' with the agreement.

I don't understand what you mean by Data

Protection Letter?

You should not contact Arrow until they or

another DCA contacts you there is no point.

Westcott will probably know no more than

you have been told.

Refresh my memory what shows on your credit

reference files??

What I meant was, with data protection, I was in debt few years ago, I seem to remember seeing some templates here, that were used, under data protection act. Maybe im wrong. To find out what info was being held by DCA's.

There must be something, that they are holding, and would like to know what it is. However you are right, checking her credit reference would be a good idea. She hasn't looked at it for few years, as at her age she doesn't have any burning desire to get a mortgage or any bank loans etc. and she thought that debts was a thing of the past for her.

I just cant see that DCA's can even consider sending out letters for debts they have no reference to, or some documentary proof. You know, if i told you to jump into the fire ........ would you?

Im really just trying to help her seek some closure, as this letter from Wescot seems open ended and subject to further pursuit from another DCA.

Debts are sold and purchased in bulk

portfolios , with very little more detail

than name address, original creditor

and the amount outstanding.

My advice would be to do the SUBJECT ACCESS REQUEST

Which costs £10.00 the creditor has 40 days to reply.

I cant' remember who the original creditor was, the SAR

normally would be sent to them.

Style card was an RBS credit card not in existence

now I think, hold off on any letters I have a contact

at RBS and get some more info.

Style was definitely an RBS brand which

now appears defunct, so a check of CRA

files is urgent, check Experian and Equifax,

look at the default date and any comments,

Equifax may actually show the date of the last

delinquent payment, get this info and

we can go from there.
