Hello fellow members,

I sent my prelim letter to Barclays on 24/08/06 by recorded delivery and had a reply from Mike Brophy Head of customer relations saying he was committed to resolving my complaint as quickly as possible and he will investigate the matter thoroughly with due regard to my comments. He also said he expects to be able to contact me again by the 22/09/06. I have been on a company course since I sent the letter and only came back yesterday to find this reply and I believe they are stalling, should I now send the LBA now or wait till I get a reply to my prelim letter, I will appreciate any advise from my fellow members.

I assume that you have received the statements and the preliminary letter you mention is asking them for the total calculated from those statements. If that's the case, then their 14 days are well over. Send the LBA tonight/tomorrow. Stick to your timetable. You gave them 14 days in your letter, mean it.
