Bearing in mind I'm going to have to self-teach: Ah, the joys of living on the edge of nowhere.

Currently, I only speak English. I know a few words in French, Italian, German and Spanish - not enough to actually have a conversation with people. One day, I would love to go travelling. I've been to Berlin and know they sometimes speak English there. However, a Google search says that it's best to learn the language that the locals speak. Google also says that depending on what part of the country you're in, depends on the language you'll speak. (I know this anyway - relatives in Belgium speak French and a friend speaks Dutch)

So guys, in your opinion, what's a) the easiest way to self-teach & b) the best language to learn?

Thank you. :)

I could teach you how to speak Gibberish.

Step 1. Drink a copious amount of alcohol (your favourite tipple will suffice, or you can try and drink Tilly under the table:razz:).

Step 2. Well that's it really, just do what step 1 says. You will be speaking Gibberish in no time.

I was going to say "find someone to talk to so you can show off your new found skills. But if you can keep up with Tilly, you don't

need anybody else there besides yourself. You will always find someone. You could try recording yourself and putting it

on disc to sell to others who may want to learn.
