Hi all,

Great forum, I'm really glad I found it in time.

Just been informed by Quick Quid that my debt has been passed to Mackenzie Hall.

They won't have my correct details as I know QQ didn't.

Does this mean they won't be able to enforce a CCJ ?

How quickly do they normally contact you after the debt has been passed over ? And do they ever turn up and do doorstep collections ? The address they have is my parents so wouldn't want them doing that.

Any help much appreciated

Thanks,

I imagine they will attempt to make contact almost immediately.

When you say "passed on".. are QuickQuid no longer the owner of the account eg they have assigned/sold the account to MuckHall ?

CCJ on a payday loan

no chance!!

dont worry about mucky hall

no DCA have any powers!!

dx

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

never speak to them on phone always in writing, and I agree you wont be going to court for a pay day loan

I know my rights Mr DCA I'm with the CAG......hello hello where you gone Mr DCA8)

Thanks for the advice.

I took out the loan whilst living at my parents house, I've since moved house so they'd be writing to me at the old address.

If I simply just ignore them forever what would happen ?

They will send letters addressed to you to your parents address, harass them on the phone and generally just be a pain in the rear for your parents.

IMO I would give them your correct address, unless you don't get on with your parents? As already said, there is nothing muckyhall can do anyway, they are not bailiffs, how much is this for? Why can't you pay it back? Have you attempted to contact QQ and arrange a reduced payment with them?

Who ever heard of someone getting a job at the Jobcentre? The unemployed are sent there as penance for their sins, not to help them find work!

This is not a debt avoidance forum but where anyone can turn to and obtain advice on how to deal with companies who are demanding cash from you. If you owe this money ignoring firms like Mhall won't help you in the long run. Going back to the original creditor and trying to arrange an affordable repayment plan might be the best way forward. If they refuse and insist you deal with Mackenzie Hall then demand to see all the documentation that proves the debt exists and that they have the proper right to collect.

I can only really afford £20 a month at the mo. Surprisingly however the debt does not show on my credit report. Can they add it on at a later date ? They don't have my parents phone number so can't hassle them.

Not trying to avoid it in the long run but could do with buying myself some time.

Ok have you checked all 3 main CRA's as I have seen lately Call Credit is not always up to date.

Is £20 stretching your finances with regard to priority debts?

OK I understand,

They have a maximum of 6 (six) months in which to register the default on your credit file, but it is usually done a lot sooner.

TBH and IMO that £20 could be reduced by 50%? Unless you really do have that much disposable income that you can afford that each month?

Look it is a pay day loan, these ARE NOT priorities by any means, it's not as though you have fallen behind with your rent or council tax, one of which could see you homeless, the other seeing you serving time in Her Majesty's pleasure!

So you MUST work out what YOU can realistically and comfortably afford to pay each month, work out your own I&E form http://www.nationaldebtline.co.uk/england_wales/budget_sheet.php?country=england_wales

You DO NOT have to give this personal and confidential information to Moorcr@p, QQ or anyone else EXCEPT a Judge, who is legally trained & qualified in making accurate decisions on this information.

Thanks for all the advice, turns out they have sold the debt to Jbdr not Mackenzie Hall, the guy is an idiot, I've requested that they send me the original agreement and proof that they can collect this debt but I keep getting the same email asking me to ring them even though I've said I won't communicate with them over the phone.

On the issue of 6 months to register a default, now they have passed on the debt will they be able to do this ?

I keep checking my experian account which is normally quite up to date but I see nothing about defaulting on QQ.

Defaults should usually be placed with in 6 months but some rogues will do it when they feel like it

and the CRA's accept it.

Mackenzie Hall better known in the refind confines of CAG as the KIlmarnock Cowboys a pond life debt purcase and debt collection agency

that seems to specialise in statute barred debts or those that other companies have given up on.

I have beaten them every time I have had dealings with them.
