After some advice,

My husband had an account with T-Mobile sometime in 2008, after he lost his job he got behind with payments & eventually he was cut off. We never heard anything from T-Mobile until we received a letter from Lowell a few weeks ago demanding £820.43 (much more than what his bill should have been), they've now passed this on to Red, who are now saying they will obtain a copy of his credit file to asses how much he can pay.

We are pretty much broke & live very frugally on the money(benefits) that we receive & cant afford to pay the money back.

Lowell are sniffing around myself for a old debt with a catalogue which I'm dealing with (no CCA)

What would be our next step?

Many thanks.

lowlife and their other name red.

dca have no leal powers to do anything

if T-mobile had wanted their money - why did them not ask before

they've written it off against tax and sold it to a fleecing agent on a phishing list.

they can sprout all they like but have no powers.

pers i'd ignore them

whatever you do, dont phone a DCA EVER!

as you appear to be generally in difficulty

i'd have a read of seq's blog in my sig too.

dont forget all there debts are NOT PRIORITY DEBTs and should at best only get £1PCM

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...
