Hi, this is a very long and drawn out saga which I wanted to post on the end of my last posts but I can not find them when I look for my own posts!

I have today received this off the above company, having previously received letters off BLS then Moorcroft, then Lloyds themselves and now a new company seems to have taken it up.

Please could someone advise where I should go from here as I have sent letters and £1 and also a letter to Lloyds quite recently asking about the ppi that was on the loan and also mis appropriation of my £1.

So I still seem to be no nearer an end and now this new lot have taken me on.

Would love some advice please. Thanks

I think you can safely ignore what they're saying about court as they refer to their client, so obviously only have an equitable assignment which means they could only take court action in liaison with the OC. Robbers Way specialise in Statute Barred or near Statute Barred debts. When was this last acknowledged or when did you last make a payment towards it?

Hi Tingy,

I have not made a payment for maybe a year or so now and Lloyd sent a statement on 6th April but it did say loan provided:unavailable and loan amount:unavailable so I don't know what that means?

Thanks

Hello Brigadier2JCS, they have sent me letter saying important notice of debt collection, asking for the full balance and to avoid Wescot taking further action you must: pay the debt in full to or contact us on:

Should I ignore or write?, this seems to be going on forever and getting passed from pillar to post!

Thank you

OK when were the last payments or acknowledgements

made on the accounts??

Is the letter you recieved a notice of assingment of the

debt just for them to collect or do they now own the debt.??

You need to check your credit reference files to find out who

owns the debt.

Hi, I don't think I have made a payment for a couple of years now. It doesn't say that they own the debt, just that they have been instructed by their client to collect. I haven't checked my credit file for a long time, mostly because I am terrified of what I might see!

Thanks

Hi, after a very long gap between now and the last letter I have now today received a letter from another debt collection agency called Wescott. Has anybody had any dealings with them? I am still waiting for Lloyds to get back to me about the PPI.

Thank you for any help

so robbers way have given up, no doubt westcolts will do the same ignore any threats from any dca, who are indeed acting on behalf of their CLIENTS!

Just be aware although the advice now

is to wait and see, the way debt collection

has become somewhat unpredictable now

care is needed, one cannot assume all

responses or lack of will be the same.

what indeed can a dca do! they are indeed acting on behalf of their client in this case wescott.. can demand payment and send threat-o-grams. and in deed one can assume that is in fact all wetclots can do:madgrin:

The fact is that the DCA may well have

been given ''authority'' not only to collect

but enforce as they see fit on behalf of thr

creditor.

oh ok so robbersway had the "authority" from their clients, however on their clients behalf they have now as they see fit passed this to westclots to enforce? no doubt another dca will indeed will be along to enforce, on their " CLIENTS BEHALF"

Merely a suggestion from long experience, not

a point to start an entirely useless exchange

of views.

Hi, I have today received a final notice from Wescot saying not to ignore their letter and that their latest enquiries have now confirmed that I am still resident at this address. They have given me 10 days to contact them and agree repayment. Further collection activity will be taken to recover the full outstanding debt.

It goes on to say that either us or our client taking legal action against you through the courts. If legal proceedings are issued and a judgement or decree is obtained against you, court fees and legal costs could increase the amount you owe.

or referring your debt to a door step collection agency to carry out a collections visit at your home.

I am getting a wee bit worried now. Should I contact them and tell them that I am still waiting for a reply from Lloyds about my PPI, I wrote a good few months ago about this. Can they really send debt collectors round to my house?

Thank you
