i had a non fault car accident in nov 10 and the other driver wouldnt admit liability... up until a feww weeks ago as i have got lots of evidence against her (cctv, photos, witness)

an engineer has been out to look at my car and asess the damages...its a cat B write off :(

they have valued my car pre accident at 1200.00

is this what my offer will be off the insurance?

As its a CAT B then you cannot drive the car as it must be bent. £1200 is what they will pay you. and they usually give you the car back. if £1200 is not a price you are happy with then you should check on autotrader and send them to your solicitors.

I didnt know insurance companies worry about aftermarket spoilers. normally what they do is make you pay the extra for it or tell you to remove it. If I was you I would remove the spoiler and contact your insurance company. Sometimes insurance companies cancel your insurance because they think your going to claim from them, (e.g ecar, read the reviews)

Why do you think it was non fault?

Yes the £1200.00 is what you will get for your car.

You should really be asking your solicitors this questions as they are getting paid to act for you!!

i am currently dealing with my solicitor however he hasnt heard anything off the insurance as yet... he told me today that if nothing has come back to him by the end of the week he will be chasing it up,,,

it was just a curious question thats all...

and also non fault.. cos it wasnt me who didnt give way it was the other driver.. so therfore it was not my fault...

hi again yes there is more info on this now :) i received a payment for the car of 980.00 that was in late febuary :) and also has an offer of 2100.00 compensation, solicitor told me that is a rubbish offer and to reject it, so that was done.the insurance company then came back to us with another offer the very same day as we rejected it and the offer was 3100.00 again my solicitor told me its still not good enough and we should persue it to court.. which could take another 9ish months so i said how much more could i get and he said roughly another 4-500 so i said im not willing to wait 9 months for another 4-500 so have accepted the offer of 3100.00 and i am currently awaiting the cheque in the post :)
