Can someone please help me!

My partner has had three letters come through over the past week from Phillips debt collectors which are regarding outstanding balances for court fines. The three letters all have different amounts on them and im pretty sure they are all from different accounts from different fines. All the letters state 'notice of intention to enter and search premises'

'our removal bailiff have the power to enter your premises, by force if necessary, to execute warrants as per Sch 4A magistrates court act 1989 as inserted by Sch of DVCV act 2004'

obviously this scares me as this is my house and everything in it is mine and i dont want some man breaking my door down and taking all my things when it is not my debt!

Neither me or my partner are working at the moment and are really struggling so even if we did set up a payment plan we'd more than likely default.

Philips have not come to my door and im pretty sure some of these debts are years old!

someone please help me but only if u are 100% sure in what you are saying!

Many thanks :)

If anyone threatens you with breaking and entering then you need to get an incident number from the police. That way if anyone turns up with that threat then you can call 999. DO NOT open the door until the police has escorted the assailant to a safe distance of at least 200 meters from yuor property.

Other peoples debts are not your problem.

If it's not your debt, and Philips turn up I would call the police and say that someone is attempting to break in, when or if plod turns up, tell them the bailiff is at the wrong address and won't go away.

If it's not your debt, and are on benefits it's double whammy on the bailiff, you are vulnerable and don't owe the money, so they leave themselves wide open to many nasty implications for their future earnings imho, including criminal prosecution.

We could do with some help from you.
