What would be the advantage of making a debtor bankrupt if they have no assets, no fixed abode and only received state benefit (sickness)?

Just wondering as I am pretty sure after a letter I just sent to Experto will probably lead to it. So fed up with them harassing my friends and family and there is no way I can realistically pay them a shilling.

Would they get some kind of tax relief or something as surely it is going to cost them court fee's.

Non to the original creditor, they already get tax relief when they sell the debt on. Non to the debt buyer either... they don't get tax relief, the only satisfaction they may get is that they've knackered their credit rating for six years. But at the end of the day it's an expensive way to be vindictive at around £1k.

There are possible advantages to the debtor tho', particularly if they have other debts because they will be included in the bankruptcy and they don't have to pay the £700+ to declare BR themselves. ;)
