Hi Buzardman,

Sorry you haven't had a response, possibly not the best forum to post this thread as it doesn't obviously relate to a repossession. There are some excellent threads on these forums debating these issues and reading through them is probably the best way for you to learn about the law. This thread debates the legal issues:-

http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?210243-Mortgage-Securitisation-Equitable-of-Legal-Assignment&highlight=equitable

And this one discusses the implications of assignment on the conduct of the account including arrears handling and possession:-

http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?170607-Spml-london-Mortgage-Company

It's a lot to catch up with and you can probably skip through a lot of the SPML thread which has now got quite long to focus on the relevant bits.

Hope this helps, if you want more you might want to ask one of the site team to move your thread to a more appropriate forum. Alternatively, perhaps give some more information about your possession case and how you think securitisation is relevant.

KC
