Hi

Have researched history on my case and found for the first 7 of my 28 days notice I can demonstrate I was In USA. Default was added on 29th day. So clearly I can prove I wasn`t given full legal notice period.

However as I only discharged debt 6 weeks later, does this invalidate the default notice/reference or merely mean the bank can move the date of default back 7 days?

Any help appreciated

Hi

You were given sufficient notice. Being out of the country won't wash I'm afraid and if you failed to pay the default amount before the due date then the default will stand

If you are asked to deal with any matter via private message, PLEASE report it.

Everything I say is opinion only. If you are unsure on any comment made, you should see a qualified solicitor

  • 4 weeks later...

Yes silver is correct, Even weekends count in the 28days. Maybe you could just use the surlybonds method to see if you can get it removed
