i got a considerable refund on my two GE Capital accounts for charges last month.

 

July was overdue, i paid it a week late, and i paid the August bill on time. Payment has cleared into the accounts.

 

i went to buy a dress at Debenhams yesterday, both cards decline.

 

i've just spent 30 minutes going round in circle with some poor helpless girl in India (apparently all her supervisors left her and went home as it was after close...) who has delightfully informed me that it was their policy to put a block on my account until my next bill as my payment the previous month was late, EVEN THOUGH i am now up to date.

 

surely this cannot be right/legal...?!
