How strange they used the you own money from 1999 ploy with me but when I asked for a reminder they came up with the form Id filled in. Ok fair enough but I still think paying nearly forty pounds a month out of my benefits too much and so I am appealing the decision with the following

Dear Crisis Loan

I disagree with the decision to take nearly forty pounds a month out of my benefits.

You still have not provided me with confirmation of the exact amount I owe. You have provided me with amounts that don’t add up. You have not provided me with a full and comprehensive breakdown of exactly the payments I have made and what I owe. :jaw:

You have also not taken into consideration any of my outgoings with regard to your repayments and you took the first payment out three days before Christmas leaving with me 100 pounds to live on for the next 3 weeks until I receive my next giro. :mad2:

This is why I disagree with your decision and I would like to appeal.

Or something along those lines.

You can ask for the amount you pay to be "rescheduled". They ask you to provide information about outgoings you have over and above what is normal, such as other debts if you have any. They don't take into consideration normal expenses such as gas/electric/rent - but they will take into account any arrears you have, any catalogue debt, credit card debt, and other priority debts, to decide if they can lower the amount of deductions they are currently taking.

They should provide a complete breakdown when asked in writing which would consist of the sum of the original loan, the amount repaid so far and the outstanding amount.

It's not Crisis Loans you need to contact but the recovery department of Social Fund.
