On 15th December in the evening my husband and I booked a holiday on the phone that we had found online with a company called the Holiday Place. We paid a deposit and then during the evening I found that the holiday was not as it seemed. Therefore my husband rang the following morning and cancelled the holiday and this was followed up with an email.

Since then my husband has spoken to the call centre and the manager of the company and has confirmed the cancellation.

We now find that they have gone ahead and taken £400 as the deposit out of our bank account.

At no time have we received from them any terms and conditions.

What are our rights to cancel this holiday within 24 hour?

Can anyone help?
