hi all

first post so here's hoping someone can help me...

in 2005 i closed my flex account with nationwide.

in 2010 they wrote to me demanding i settle an outstanding overdraft of £900

i refused as i hadnt heard a word from them during the 5 year period and i had already settled this in 2005

they have since slapped a default notice on my credit score making it impossible for me to get a mortgage.

i have taken it to the financial ombudsman and am awaiting a response but would love to hear further advice.

thanks

chris

Hi Chris. I don't really have much advice for you. I'm in a battle with these idiots myself over them taking bank charges from my wifes disability living allowance. All I can say is that you're in for a bumpy ride. I've found the Nationwide quite arrogant and unwilling to help at any point. I wish you all the best
