Hi

I booked hotel at holidayinn in london for 2 nights but the the airport was closed due to heavy snow so I rang them to cancel the reservation but i was told the money has already gone thru and its non refundable all they could do is put the ticket on hold for 8 weeks, this is useless to me becasue I am not going to use the hotel anymore ...

my guests couldnt fly thru london so they have decided to fly thru alternative route instead....

am I entitled to refund ? i feel its unfair and they should only take deposit ( maybe).

i booked my ticket online thru moneysupermarket this time, i remmeber last tme i booked it thru them directly and it said allowed to cancel before 4 PM...

thanks

It will depend on the rate you agreed and he terms attached. Many are a good rate, but payment taken at the time of booking usually means this is non refundable. It was you who broke the arrangement they are not liable for your arrangements falling through. The deal you would had to have agreed with any non-pre pay booking, is you pay for the first night if you don't turn up (per room). You need to clarify the exact terms you agreed, then complain based on that.
