I just wondered if someone could help me with a problem i am having at work. In december 2008 the company that i had been working at for ten years told us that we were going to be tuped across to the company that we did most of our work, They give us the choice to stay on with them but was unsure of our jobs as this larger company was our main customer. So for the next four months or so we had meetings with the new company who gave us the option of staying on our terms and conditions or moving onto there terms and conditions, But in there terms we would not get a company vehicle or be payed for our travel time and seen as though it is a 150 mile round trip to the site we would be working on it seemed a no brainer. So in april we joined the new company a large british supermarket.


After being there a year or so after the wage negotiations had been agreed with by the union we got our wage slip with pay rise on it and we could not believe what we saw. We were getting 50% of the agreed pay rise so we raised a grievance and went through the grievance procedures, And the outcome was that because we are still on our terms and conditions it is company policy to only allow us 50%. Should this not of been told to us in the meetings before we was tupe across. To me it just seems like it is a way for them to bully us onto there terms and conditions. Would really appreciate any help that can be given as our union dont even want to know anymore.
