Hi all,

Wondeful site I have to say, not buttering you all up, but it is great what you are doing.

Now, on to my issue which I hope you can give some advice on.

I have just received a letter from 1st credit. Now as far as I know I have no debts, I am a professional and have never had debt problems. I am confused as to why this company is mailing me.

I do remember about a year ago getting a letter from someone similar and ignored it as I thought it was a [s.cam], nothing happened after that, but now this.

The letter doesn't say a lot..

"1st credit limited is attempting to contact the above named regarding a personal matter.

Your address has been supplied as a possible address for our subject.

If you are "full name"

Please contact our offices immediately on #number.....

If you are not "full name" call us...

If no response is received within 10 days we will assume that you are the individual we wish to contact and will of course ensure that all relevant correspondance is sent to you.!

So..

Do I call them and ask what this is about ?

Do I ignore it ?

Would speaking to citizens advise help ?

I can only imagine this could be something to do with my student days, 5 years ago. but am uncomfortable with calling them.

Thank you for any info, I just hope this goes away o.O

I agree with BB, under no circumstances should you call them.

If it is you they seek its likely to be a Statute Barred debt they bought for pennies, and they'll be hoping you don't find CAG and learn your rights, so that they can have a nice Christmas Pxxxxp.... I mean Party..

Welcome to CAG btw :-)
