first off just like to say hi too all:-).

Right now the problems im having..im an self-employed plasterer, iv been doing work for a customer on there house project, first part of the job was going ok..few issues with the customer but we just proceeded with the work and did are job. during the later stages of the job the customer asked for another quote for another job to be under taken, run up to Xmas and all we obliged and are quote was excepted'

we started on the new works..but after 75% into the job, the customer just got worse he was very blunt controlling and his demands were insulting..he was picking faults on the work even after we kept telling him we had not finished..we got to the point that we had to discus with him pulling off the job.

which did not go well and we got more unreasonable remarks..

we put it to him that we would be willing to review and alter the quote fairly so that he could finish the work..we would only ask for work and expensive we incurred.

we got no cooperation or offers..only he said he was going to get someone in too get a new quote to finish the work, and we will not be getting any money..and we was not welcome back on site.

we have sent notice of proceeding for costs we have incurreded only! nothing else.

we have been very fair with him but he has not replyed in anyway.

we have also found out that he has had the same issues with his last 3 trade that have done work on his house.

any advice would be of great help

kind regards Craig

Hi insideoutland

Welcome to The Consumer Action Group.

I am just letting you know that as you haven't had any replies to your post yet, it might be better if you post your message again in an appropriate sub-forum. You will get lots of help there.

Also take some time to read around the forum and get used to the layout. It is a big forum and takes a lot of getting used to.

Once you start to find your way, you will soon realise that it is fairly easy to get round and to get the help you need.

It can be bit confusing at first.

Please be advised that my time will be limited for the next few weeks. Thanks for your understanding.
