I wonder if CAG was blamed for some of this bad (good) news?

Purchasers now want higher returns, in that case they should make sure the portfolio is enforceable in its entirety and that all documentation is supplied at point of sale.

The days of list broking debts is now well and truly over (hopefully).

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

I wish i had not read that article - how am i going to sleep tonight now?

What will happen to all those poor debt collecting agencies if they have no cheap debts to buy - and no money to buy them with.

I mean if they go out of business will there be enough debt colection agencies left to chase the old debt collection agents for their debts.

Where will it end? Debt collecting agencies complying with the law - and treating people with compassion and repect. Ok i am being silly.

But it would be nice to see Sharks eating Sharks :-)
