Hi all,

Just need a little advice to stop me from losing my bottle. I received a Parking Contravention Enforcement Notice from Civil Enforcement Ltd after being 12 minutes over a 2 hour free parking period. This was at Kidlington Airport where they use ANPR. I'd seen the sign saying 2 hours free parking and since I was only going for a 1 hour flying lesson, didn't think anymore about it.

Anyway, I received the fist notice demanding £75 for being over the 2 hour free period, so I trawled the forums and also saw a clip from Watchdog on YouTube. So I ignored the first letter and now I've receive the second, demanding £150 or it's CCJ's, bailiffs etc.

So do I just keep ignoring them?

Advice much appreciated.

Welcome to the site.

Bailiffs can only act if they have a warrant, unless its for commercial unpaid rent.

A CCJ can only be given by a Court-you probably know this already.

ignore the INVOICE

and the other threat-o-grams you'll get

it is not a FINE

its an INVOICE

with no legal powers attached

do some reading in this forum

dx

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

You will probably get a few more plus a solicitor's letter. Only give your attention to the matter if you get a court summons through your door which you won't.
