I bought a Flymo Hover mower 3 weeks ago from Argos cheifly as it had afree Flymo trimmer with it as a package. I reserved this online but on picking up in store was told the trimmer was out of stock and to phone in 2/3 weeks when they should be back in stock. Rang last night to be told no not in stock but should be in within two months from date of order. The operator also said that if this was not in stock withing two months they were not liable to supply me with the free item!


Needless to say I won't let it rest there. Anyone had similar or any ideas on next step? :mad2:

Hi scoopit can you PM me your local store and I will tell you which date they should have it in. We have been told that there should be enough stock within the company to fulfil these offers, but will happily look into your area (give me a couple of days though please :))

Ex-Retail Manager who is happy to offer helpful advise in many consumer problems based on my retail experience. Any advise I do offer is my opinion and how I understand the law.

Thank you for your response I've just had an email from CS-Argos Head Office who have told me they have checked stocks at other stores and do have some stock. They will let me know when in to my local store.
