I purchased an ACER Aspire One laptop last April from Tesco Direct. Had two or three problems before (black screen, not booting up) which were fixed doing some troubleshooting online. Now it won't power up at all (the battery light just flashes without doing anything else). I got on to Acer who have basically said 'tough, you're out of warranty' (more or less word for word. Now the issue I have is the laptop's not even 2 years old and surely I shouldn't be having these problems.


I've looked on line and some people have had similar problems. I've e-mailed Tesco as well. Now the question I have is, what rights do I have if any?

for a laptop, thats not 18mts!!

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...
