Sorry if this is in the the wrong sub forum.

I stopped contact with the debt collectors at the beginning of the year after they failed to provide a true signed copy of the agreement. Since then I have not heard anything from any debt collectors whatsoever. Today I recieved this statement and accompanying form letter from the original lender.

What does this mean? Does this mean the debt has been written off? Does it also mean I will not be harrased by debt collectors anymore? Or is this just wishful thinking on my part?

It means that Tesco's have written the debt off for their tax purposes, the debt still exists and no doubt some time in the future, a lowlife DCA will pop up so be on your guard to future unsolicited telephone calls, postcards and mail.

NEVER telephone a DCA

If a DCA rings you, refuse to go through the security questions & hang up!
