Firstly, I apologise if this is posted in the wrong place (all the sub forums confused me slightly)

Earlier, I came across a standing order that I strongly suspect should have finished a long time ago. I hastily deleted it (as there isn't a stop/cancel option). In doing so, it turns out that my bank now have no record of the reference number, neither do I.

Tracking down the company/recipient of my money has proved difficult without the number and I have a feeling I could have overpaid by £500 or more.

I've been close to tearing the skin off my face this afternoon, mostly due to my bank not being able to help.

I have a strong suspicion that it's the council debt recovery team, but without a reference number, I'm hitting a brick wall.

I'm baffled how my bank Lloyds, cannot trace a SO that has been going for 3 years to a recipient, just because I've recently cancelled it.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.
