hello i have just been sent letters fron hfo regarding a barclaycard account. one was a notice of assignment from hfo then a few days later one fron barclaycard. i called barclaycard and they told me they sold the debt to hfo in sept 2007 and that they wouldnt have sent this letter. i asked barclaycard to sent this in writing but they refused. i recieved a letter from hfo along with a printout of my credit file and then another saying i had 72 hours to respond otherwise they will start legal prodeedings against me along with another printout of my credit file how should i deal with this?

Keep posting any old stuff so you can get your post count up; you need 20 posts to attach documents. in the meantime, get scanning what they have sent you.

 

A subject access request to Barclaycard is a must, as is a CCA request to HFO.

 

Can you provide any more history on the account?

 

Is the notice of assignment dated recently? Or backdated?

barclaycard also told me all the paperwork for this account was sent to hfo

ok ty i have been reading some threads but given my username which by the way is the one i use for bingo has made some people a bit suspicious but i can assure i am genuine.
