Hi all I am looking for some relevant advice to a parking ticket from UKPC. I have read many of the UKPC threads and cannot see anything relevant to my problem. I have recently found a ticket/fine/invoice on my windscreen and wondering what my next step should be.

I have learnt from this site that the ticket/fine is actually an invoice. And the advice is DONT PAY AND IGNORE THEM. Is it really that easy???

Without an admission of guilt (as I assume that UKPC management read these forums) My car was ticketed for being in a controled bay without a valid permit. There are numerous signs showing UKPC patrol and ticket blah blah blah. So the fact that this is known, does this have more of an arguement for them? The carpark has CCTV but I doubt its theirs as its on a key worker housing site and it is more for security. The bay that the car was parked in (and has been every day for the last four months) as far as I know hasnt yet been allocated to the housing site as its next to the building site and would be unsuitable for residents. When any car is parked in either of these two bays, its expected that a company name is put in the windscreen so the site manager can get them moved if/when thay are in the way. I did aprox' four months ago have a chat with the warden and he said he wasnt interested in those two bays. But anybody parking there should identify themselves with a company name showing they are working onsite and not a visitor to a resident etc.

So what I've learnt so far is;

1, Its not a parking fine its an invoice.

2, Ignore them and eventually they go away ???????

3, Dont tell them who the driver is. They will know I am the registered keeper but I am not to inform them of the driver details. However I cant lie if asked by a court should it go that far.

Should I argue my case? It would appear that their revue process is a little one sided anyway. If I had a letter stating that these bays are not handed over as yet, would that suffice them? A court?

As a final note, I am so glad I have found this site. Thanks for reading this and any and all advice is greatly received. Only another 9 days left on my discounted parking fine, sorry invoice:roll:

Cheers Dave.

Thanks for the advice. Looking through various threads I cant see anybody who has taken the ignore and they'll go away tactic and commented on it afterwards.

That's because most people come on the board for advise, take it, then (as it was successful) never return to update their thread. (although, if you look, some peolpe do return to thank CAG for the help in avoiding paying the scamvoice)

Yes, if you look through the threads there is plenty of people who report back that the Ignore route works and they do go away.

Please have a read of some more threads. You can also check other forums where successfull ignoring is reported.

Realy , its the way to go with these private parking issues.

hello all:-)

You never get a letter saying OK we give up so the ignore tactic does not get confirmed. Think about it how many Caggers have received several FINAL DEMANDS or LETTER BEFORE ACTION and then never goes any further. Now and again one may push it to court if they think they have a good case.

The problem with these parasites is they can pop up again months after and try their hand again. Look on here and other boards at the amount of people who use the ignore tactic, and then look at how many correctly defended court case,s there are that the PPC have won??
