Suggest that your daughter phones the Insurers and asks to speak to the complaint/customer relations department to try to resolve the problem.

When she arranged the new Insurance she should have declared the non fault accident claim that was dealt with by a third party Insurer. Had she done this, they would have quoted a slightly higher premium to reflect the non fault accident to her car.

I am sure the old company can provide a letter confirming the no claims discount. If they can, then together with a letter from your daughter explaining the details of the accident (what happended, plus how it was dealt with, I am sure her new Insurers will continue the cover.

Some companies can be a pain to deal with, so your daughter will have to try to penetrate the front line staff and ask to speak to someone who can resolve e.g. complaint handler/customer relations or manager.

A bit of advice to anyone reading this. DO NOT arrange cover online if you have had an accident or claim in the last 5 years. ALWAYS phone companies.

We could do with some help from you.

This wouldn't happen to be a company with a similar name to Swindle?

If it was Swinton, I have heard that they are having major problems. Something to do with changes that have been made within the company, which is making life very difficult for their branch staff. Lots of complaints being made about policies getting cancelled.

We could do with some help from you.
