    • you wont get eric and that doesn't solve your problem as thats mainly to do with private parking set asides really as most judges now view PPC Backdoor CCJ with dissent and grant it regardless.    i absolutely hate link and paul burrell he built up a £1B+ empire of wealth solely by conning debtors into paying debts they mostly didn't even owe, but in this instance you are on very shaky ground.   me pers i'd not even debated it and i'd just gone for it win or bust. once you get the set aside it should be plain sailing.   but you came for advice and i can't not be truthful here.   the only otherway to better gauge you chances is to SAR Barclaycard , get everything they hold. that will show you the cards that Link will have to play with , they might well be pants.      
    • I have read everything about these cowboys but need a little advice. I was issued my fine on 9/12/19 but only received a dated letter on 11/01/20.   Ive had all the threatening letters from DRP and now Zenith and ignored them all. My wife was driving our car but yet its my dad who's getting all the letters as he's the registered owner. They managed to get my number and rang me today, I busted them for being the same company but the guy on the phone was super aggressive. I said to him Ive spoken to Trading Standards and they told me by law a ticket has to be issued within 14 days of the offence. But as you can see it was over a month, I said this to the aggressive dude on the phone who actually knew way to much about parking fines. So I think they are actually under the same umbrella as VCS also.   He was firing back that the law doesn't state that and I should look at 2012 laws or something and the DVLA, and it takes time to get my details from the DVLA to issue my charge????   Does this mean anything to anyone pls Regards   Stuart

If yes please select 'yes' and complete the following fields. If you wish to claim interest under any other act or agreement please select 'no' and enter the full details of your interest agreement in the box below.   What dates and information should I enter in the attached screenshot boxes? Is it the date I sent the original car rejection letter through? Is the date issuing the claim the date 14 days after sending the Letter of Claim. I have calculated the daily rate of interest using the guide.   Thanks.

      I bought some clothes online in may through Evans and paid through PayPal
      returned them all seven days later
       
      I waited the 14days for my refund and no refund came
      I put in a dispute through PayPal but I didn’t get any emails to escalate the case - PayPal closed it. 
      evans said they couldn’t refund the money because PayPal have cancelled the refund because of the open dispute
       
      I contacted PayPal
      they said the dispute had been closed but Evans at no point had attempted a refund.
      fast forward to today
       
      I’ve got copies of numerous messages sent to and from twitter messages as it’s the only way I can contact them
      I’ve also contacted their customer service too
      all I get is PayPal have cancelled refund because dispute is still open.
       
      I have proved that the dispute is closed
      I have got an email saying that if Evans sent the refund they would accept it
      but up until the date I got the email they have not once attempted a refund .
       
       I have sent them a letter before court email
      I have even offered to have the full refund as a gift card just to get this sorted !
       
      I’m literally at the end of my tether and don’t know where to turn next !
       
      i suffer with mental health issues and this is affecting my health and I’d saved the money for a year to buy these clothes as I’m on a low income .

Help needed to put a stop to this mess with Payday Loans. **

Hi all,

 

I have finally decided that the re-loaning situation is no longer helping me, and regardless of the consequences that will follow, I am going to put a stop to it. It is not fair on my family or girlfriend anymore. Although they aren't aware, they can tell i'm going through problems with money and it needs to come to an end.

 

I have 6 loans out, totalling up to £3000.00. Concidering I get paid around £1000 a month, this is now a major problem. The loans are as follows -

 

Wonga £1500 (biggest issue - they must have made over £2000 in interest alone from me)

PaydayExpress £500 (big issue)

MiniCredit £400 (big issue too)

 

247 Moneybox £150 - will clear on next payday

1 Month Loan £156 - will clear on next payday

WageDay Advance £137.50 - will pay interest alone this payday, then pay the full amount next payday

 

This ultimately means I will have to default on the Wonga & Payday Express Loans. What are the next steps I should take?

 

Obviously, due to me paying some loans off and have other things to pay this time around, I won't be able to make any token payments (unless they are around £50.00 each company) so I am afraid of them adding unlimited charges to the current debts.

 

Any advice would be welcome - I just want to pay these off in a way that is comfortable for me. If anyone has any other 'tactics' i could look into to, please let me know!

You can only pay them what you can afford...what surprises me is that these companies have obviously continued to loan this money to you despite you seemingly being over committed. I'd say it is to a certain extent irresponsible lending on their part. These companies are supposed to look at your standing and give out loans based on your earnings and other commitments. have a good read through these forums. First step is to protect your income and cancel your debit card. To be totally safe you will need a new bank account as these companies will continue to attempt to take payment. You can then negotiate- you can do this alongside 42mans advice.

 

Many of us have been in your position and most of these companies will accept less than what you consider to be a token payment.

I have dealt with WONGA and Payday Express.

 

The sooner you default the better

 

Wonga - email them now (collections@wonga.com or customercare@wonga.com) and tell them you can no longer afford to repay this debt and setup a repayment plan for say 50 per month .. you can always email them later balanceoffer@wonga.com for a reduced settlement offer. Try offering them the initial loan plus 1 months interest.

 

Payday Express - will setp repayment plan if you send I&E .. I did this but was later sent to Castlebridge Credit Management (think they are internally linked to Payday Express as the letters come in the same envelopes !!) .. managed to setup a repayment plan at a reduced rate paying £100 less back !!
