Hi everyone

I have a Dca chasing me for a cancelled insurance premium, naturally they have added some of there own charges and they claim I owe them £90+

The last letter I recived from the insurance company said that they intended to pass the debt on and that further costs will be incurred.

Does this count as a notice of assingment?

Can I pay the insurance comapny the outstanding amount?

Thanks

The debt collection agency may just be collecting 'on behalf of' as opposed to them having bought the debt, but bear the OFT guidance points below in mind - It might be worth contacting the insurance company and settling.

Examples of unfair practice

d. applying unreasonable charges, for example, charges not based on actual

and necessary costs.

e. applying charges which are disproportionate to the main debt.

Is there any kind of dispute at all ?
