This is hot off the pages of Credit Today... their DCA award shortlist

http://www.credittoday.co.uk/news/news-item.cfm?news=1987

Funny how Lowells have sponsored a category and put 1st Credit there....

Roxburghe are up for a couple of awards,

I would have an alternative DCA award shortlist, categories as follows

Most stupidest letter going - grammatical and legal mistakes over 5....

Most lame excuse letter for not complying with a SAR request

Most lame excuse letter for not complying with a CCA request

Most inventive tracing letter

Most misquoted 'legal' threats (has to be 'oral examination of finances at court')

Any other takers?

The best ever is "valid even if not read by you". Can't remember which DCA first used that...

"To love unconditionally is the greatest gift, laughter is a close second" .To give your time to help others after being helped here is the best way to show your appreciation to your fellow CAG members.

Think it was Moorcroft....

I think the old Westcot letters designed to look like a court document were another killer, along with their 'Red' letters....

Come on CAG - we must be able to come up with some alternative awards ceremony, I don't mind being the MC at this.... we have enough backing music to use, ie Money Money Money, Another brick in the wall, etc etc....

Move all banking activity to another banking group if you have a dispute - your funds can be used to offset debts within the same group.

Be careful with Banking details (card/account numbers) as these can be used to take unauthorised payments.

I think the company least likely to succeed award for me this year has to go to Moorcroft. ;)

Maybe Credit Today itself, I think they are keeping track of the computers I use as sometimes I can't open the main page! Still, seeing as they are a self-published online magazine with a limited readership (if it can be called that) and their forum seems to be almost dead revenge has been had....

What happened to their

Most ethical collection team (similar sort of title was on last year awards)

I think the fact that the event is sponsored by the industry, and they pay very inflated prices to attend the event itself says it all.

CAG meets are self-sponsored and fairly well attended considering!

What are the criteria for these awards?? Does anyone know? What about "most ridiculous lie of the year award?"

I am a lawyer, but I am an academic lawyer. I do not practice as a barrister or solicitor. You should consult a practising Solicitor BEFORE taking any Court or other action

How about an award for the company with the most mentions on CAG, or an award for the company with the most complaints who has got away without having their licence revoked.
