A few years back my nephew took a loan out with Abbey, after a while he got made redundant so phoned them to ask for a claim form , they said they would send one out. After around 2 weeks there was still no form so he phoned them again, they again said they would send one out but nothing arrived. He got a job a couple of weeks later so never bothered with the claim. He was off work for a total of 6 weeks.

What i want to know is, would he be able to make a claim for the time he was out of work or for the full PPI because Abbey didn't bother sending him a claim form ?

The problem is he doesn't have any paperwork and doesn't even know how much the loan was for. I was thinking a SAR may work ?

Ps. I get halves of anything claimed back for sorting it out for him :-)

Thanks , thought the SAR would be the way forward. He still is with Abbey so won't be a problem.

it might well a good idea to include a line in the sar that says to the effect:

this is to include copies of all agreements with your org too.
