I have today received a summons to court for not having road tax on my car. Stupid i know!! it sayd on the form I can plead guilty and not need to attend. I think that I will do this as I will be at work that day.

The form says I owe £15.63 for the period the car was untaxed and the £60.00 court fees it then goes on the say the maximum penalty is £1000.

My question is what do you think they will fine me and do you have to pay the fine in a lump sum?

If you are guilty then you have no choice and should consider settling the debt. In most cases you can settle before it reaches court.
