Just received a very distressing Phone call from Allied, requested property info, earnings etc Will mark as refused if I dont comply

Are they allowed to request this information without a court order ?

Calling back before 2 need to know my rights asap.

Any assistance would be very much appreciated

Thanks

No they are not. If they do call back tell them all contact must be in writing only and if they continue you will be complaining to the relevant authorities.

Do not get into a conversation with them.

Thanks Cerberusalert

A few ( lots ) more questions if you dont mind as I'm at my wits end at the moment.

I have a PPI dispute on the account with MBNA who have passed it to Allied.

They recon the PPI is seperate issue ?

If Allied are collecting on behalf of MBNA (Im waiting for MBNA to check this out)should I write to both?

Stating the debt collection quidelines for third party responsibility ?

It's all part of the same issue... besides a fault with the PPI could invalidate an agreement in certain circumstances. AIC are just numpty debt collectors and wouldn't know the finer parts of contract law if it bit them on the derrière. Besides, they are acting as agents for MBNA so it is their responsibility to return the a/c back to them as soon as you raise a dispute.

They can't take any legal action against you either - even if they threaten to.

Give no information

Refuse to go through their security questions

state "In writing only" and put the phone down
