Hi all

Have been dealing with an issue for my parents regarding ye olde PPI crap. - Not sure if this is best place to post on this.

Sent an SAR to the company that is supposed to be looking after the insurance. This is the reply they got - and i mean apart from a copy of the insurance policy this is all they got for there tenner.

They do admit to having other documents - but say that my parents were previously copied in on all correspondence.

What is the best course of action on this one?

Cheers

In addition to what has been said above when the 40 days is up for them to comply (bear in mind they may still send some paperwork before the deadline) then you would need to send a letter before action (send recorded delivery), (enclose a copy of the original SAR too) giving them 14 days to comply - have a look here, there is an example of a LBA here - http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?178660 -
