Hi,

Just wondering if anyone knew anything about how long a claimant has to respond to a defence for a county court claim. 3 of the lawyers I have spoke to have given diff answers to what is the norm.

Anyone know?

I ask because i have filed my defence and just wondering how long i have to wait?

Waiting and researching. You will receive notification from the Court to confirm your defence has been forwarded to the Claimant, this again will confirm the 28 days.If they fail to respond the claim will be stayed if they proceed you will receive an AQ (Allocation Questionnaire) which transfers the claim to your local County Court8-)
