Hi guys,

 

Looking to find out what are my rights.

 

I was booked to fly out of Gatwick 19th Spetember at 15.25, arrived in plenty of time to be handed a letter which had been photocopied many times as the quality was so poor.

 

The letter stated that due to technical reasons the flight was subject to delay. I was advised by the check in staff that the flights was estimated to take off the following morning at 00.30 and they were spot on with this time.

 

Someone told me so this is heresay that monarch was aware of this at 6am on 19th Sep and the problem was caused by scheduling problems and the plane that took us to spain was brought in from sham el sheik.

 

We were given the £10 voucher as the only compensation.

 

The result of this delay meant the car hire company charged us an extra €25.00 due to out of hours arrival.

 

we were too tired to drive on the motorway so did not arrive to the hotel till the following day at 9am.

 

In my mind I basically lost the amenity of one day of holiday, I bookoed the flight at that time for a specific reason, what are my rights to compensation?

Thanks did read and from what it says I am entitled to €400 compensation. Am I also able to claim the €25 I had to pay the car hire company?
