    • I have read everything about these cowboys but need a little advice. I was issued my fine on 9/12/19 but only received a dated letter on 11/01/20.   Ive had all the threatening letters from DRP and now Zenith and ignored them all. My wife was driving our car but yet its my dad who's getting all the letters as he's the registered owner. They managed to get my number and rang me today, I busted them for being the same company but the guy on the phone was super aggressive. I said to him Ive spoken to Trading Standards and they told me by law a ticket has to be issued within 14 days of the offence. But as you can see it was over a month, I said this to the aggressive dude on the phone who actually knew way to much about parking fines. So I think they are actually under the same umbrella as VCS also.   He was firing back that the law doesn't state that and I should look at 2012 laws or something and the DVLA, and it takes time to get my details from the DVLA to issue my charge????   Does this mean anything to anyone pls Regards   Stuart

    • I am currently putting my claim together on the Money Claim website, if I tick the box:   Do you want to reserve the right to claim interest under the County Court Act? If yes please select 'yes' and complete the following fields. If you wish to claim interest under any other act or agreement please select 'no' and enter the full details of your interest agreement in the box below.   What dates and information should I enter in the attached screenshot boxes? Is it the date I sent the original car rejection letter through? Is the date issuing the claim the date 14 days after sending the Letter of Claim. I have calculated the daily rate of interest using the guide.   Thanks.

    • I’m in desperate need of help

I bought some clothes online in may through Evans and paid through PayPal
returned them all seven days later

I waited the 14days for my refund and no refund came
I put in a dispute through PayPal but I didn’t get any emails to escalate the case - PayPal closed it.
evans said they couldn’t refund the money because PayPal have cancelled the refund because of the open dispute

      I contacted PayPal
they said the dispute had been closed but Evans at no point had attempted a refund.
      fast forward to today

I’ve got copies of numerous messages sent to and from twitter messages as it’s the only way I can contact them
I’ve also contacted their customer service too
all I get is PayPal have cancelled refund because dispute is still open.

I have proved that the dispute is closed
I have got an email saying that if Evans sent the refund they would accept it
but up until the date I got the email they have not once attempted a refund .

I have sent them a letter before court email
I have even offered to have the full refund as a gift card just to get this sorted !

I’m literally at the end of my tether and don’t know where to turn next !

i suffer with mental health issues and this is affecting my health and I’d saved the money for a year to buy these clothes as I’m on a low income .

Hi.

I have a few claims about to be filed against Barclays / barclaycard.

They have agreed refunds on the claims but not the amount asked for. They are also saying they will pay the refunds off the debts owed to them.

I wrote and asked them to accept the refunds as Full and final settlement as it was not a lot off what I owed them, and they never got back to me.

The Barc/card account was sold while the dispute was going on to Capquest, so the PPI is still on hold while they wait for me to send the acceptance form back, needless to say I am not accepting the offer.

If I am claiming for PPI and charges on the same account would I do the claims separately or can I combine them as 1 claim.

Any advice would be helpful.

Mrs M

MandM,

Personally I would do the claims separately, but entirely your choice.

Barclays can be a bit of a hard not to crack, but usually cave in eventually. Don't give up and make sure you are claiming compound interest at the rate they were charging you.

Good luck

Thanks DJ.

No one else has come back with a comment on this so I think maybe I should do as you think and err on the side of caution and put them in as separate claims.

I am hoping that as my daughter is claiming benefits then the costs will be low as we will be putting in 6 claims against Barclays and barclaycard.

MandM,

Barclays can only take from the settlement the amount of arrears outstanding, the rest must be paid in whatever means you see fit.

Of course, if you are happy for them to take it off the balance still owed then fine.

Not sure what you mean by you hope the costs are low. Submitting a claim to barclays does not cost you anything and if you do not get a favourable response from them after 8 weeks, you can refer the case to the FOS which again does not cost you anything. FOS will however charge barclays £500 per case. Result! and in my experience they do eventually cave in and pay out after the FOS get involved.

I had 5 cases against barclays and never had 1 go to an adjudicator for a decision.

Hi DJ.

sorry I think you have misunderstood. I am not putting in the claims to Barclays. I have already done that and they have come back with low amounts offered so I am actually going to file the claims at court. This is why I need to know if I can put the PPI and charges on each account together in the one claim at court.

Ok MandM,

Is entirely your choice how to list your claim.

I guess it would make more sense to log them all as 1, less court fees that way.

Good luck
