Hi,

A first timer to both messages boards and claiming against the bank - what a Monday! I have read through the information and is the next step to work out the amount I have been charged and send the letter. How much can the reasonably say covers there costs and what would be the "penalty" element. Any advice grateful recived.

Thanks

Hiya and welcome!

Yes work out what you are owed, this is basically all your charges for unpaid direct debits, cheques and unauthorised overdrafts. Until the banks can justify their charges, they are all deemed unfair, and there is no reasonable amount to allow for them.

Tot up your total from the last six years, and start by sending off your preliminary letter, using the template in the library.

Hope this helps!

Don't forget to donate to this site, they gave us the backbone to put up a fight, we've learnt how to reclaim our rights and proved banks are all nothing but........ rubbish <wink>
