Hi Guys,

I'm new to CAG! So hello to all.

I spotted this site as I was trawling through Google to get help with my PPI claim.

I dont want to go through a No Win No Fee lawyer if poss, so any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated.

I took out a HP agreement in December 2001 with GE Capital Woodchester for a car. Thie agreement was over five years.

It was only when I ran into financial difficulties and was trying to negotiate reduced payments that I realised that £73 of the £350 I was paying a month was PPI!

Where this gets complicated is as far as I can remember, I took the loan out on line from Jamjar.com's website.

I dont have any old bank statements or contract agreements to prove anything. And as I dont think GE were regulated by the FSA in 2001, it's unlikely the FOS can help either.

Ive estimated (very roughly!) that I paid in the region of £3000 in PPI.

If anyone has any advice on how I can start the ball rolling, I would be very grateful

Thank You!:grouphug:

Hello and Welcome, Sutera67.

I'll move this thread to the PPI Forum, have a look at the 'Stickies' at the top of that Forum, should give you some idea on how to proceed.

Regards.

Scott.

Hi

Welcome to The Consumer Action Group.

I am just letting you know that as you haven't had any replies to your post yet, it might be better if you post your message again in an appropriate sub-forum. You will get lots of help there.

Also take some time to read around the forum and get used to the layout. It is a big forum and takes a lot of getting used to.

Once you start to find your way, you will soon realise that it is fairly easy to get round and to get the help you need.

It can be bit confusing at first.

Please be advised that my time will be limited for the next few weeks. Thanks for your understanding.
