my husband [now ex] and i took took out a black horse loan [secured on our house] in 2001.

this became a debt...i'm not sure what year it became an official debt...i would guess 2001 or 2002.

for years we were making small regular payments.

then our marriage broke down, he moved out, we got a divorce...in the mist of all of this neither one of us continued paying them even though there was about 4,000 pounds left to pay.:|

in the last few year i've only had a couple of letters, but they almost seem to have forgotten the debt.

btw i have no idea where my ex-husband lives or how to contact him.

can they still chase me [and him] to pay?

i'm confused by the 6 year rule.
