Hi, don't know if anyone can help. My partners son has been living in a housing association property for over 15 years, the first few years it was owned by the highways agency due to a compulsory purchase order, then they sold it to a housing association which was then taken over by another larger HA. He has signed two tenancy agreements in total over this 15 yr period. Is he entitled to buy the property from the HA and if so, is there a discount for the rent he has paid over those years or is the value of the house taken at market value or would he get a discount because its a HA property.

Any info would be helpful.

Thanks

Unlikely - right to buy applies to council properties, not HA.
